ADR launches online learning tool for buyers

As the global economy shows signs of turning around, many companies are urgently looking for skilled people to keep their procurement under control while demand rises.

Procurement specialists ADR International have launched an Internet-based training resource to help purchasing and supply management professionals improve their skills.

The ADR Academy is one of a range of learning options offered by ADR International and the Institute for Supply Management in the United States after they joined forces earlier this year to provide high quality training in procurement and supply management.

The online Academy offers training programs anywhere in the world. Anyone can log into the site (www.adracademy.com) and pay by credit card to start taking courses immediately.

Modules are standalone and take just 75 minutes to complete. They offer practical tools, hands-on exercises and case studies to help students gain a working knowledge in key areas including portfolio analysis, opportunity analysis, market analysis, price analysis, cost analysis, supplier financial analysis and global sourcing. A self-test at the end of each course validates what students have learned.
